Two of three cubs that we met two years ago when they were just a few months old. They are huge and healthy now - but still with their mother. Grizzlies and Coastal Brown Bears are genetically identical - the difference being geography and diet. Coastal Brown bears grow much larger than grizzlies due to the high protein content of their diet and the relatively easier life style along the more temperate coast lines of Alaska.
