The Vik i Myrdal Church overlooks the small town on Vik on Iceland's southern shore. The southernmost town in Iceland, Vik lies at the foot of the Myrdalsjokull glacier, on top of Katla Volcano. In the event of an eruption, the entire town could be wiped out by flooding, with the church the most likely surviving building (if any).
