The Chacon

The Chacon was built in Seattle in 1912 and was used for commercial fishing, towing tugs, and hauling fish and crab until it reportedly hit an iceberg near Yakutat. The boat was eventually bought, raised out of the silt off Homer, and transported to its present location across from Fire Station #1 on the Old Glenn Highway in Chigiak, Alaska
